In an open culture, colleagues know each other and share experiences. That’s why we launched the ‘conversation room’, our internal communication platform on which we feature news and corporate activities. Employees without a computer can still follow on TV screens, placed at multiple points in the building.
In the closed Facebook group ‘Working at Van de Velde’, more than 300 employees from all over the world share small and large stories with each other.
Van de Velde organizes on a regular basis a special activity for its employees and their families. In 2015, we organised our first 'Employee Day'. The monthly Van de Velde café offers our employees the opportunity to catch up after working hours.
On the day of publication of the annual and interim figures all employees are given the opportunity to attend an information meeting. The aim of this meeting is to clarify Van de Velde's results and ongoing projects. Ignace Van Doorselaere also made time to provide more insight into the company’s future plans and challenges in 'strategic sessions' for small groups of employees.
