As a result we strive for personal development: we like to discover the talents in each employee and provide guidance to develop them further. To achieve this we focus on education, on-the job training and experience-oriented learning (e.g. working on a project). Moreover, we encourage internal mobility and cross-departmental teamwork.

Training & Education

We attach great importance to the fluent integration  of new employees. After all, a good start for new employees forms the basis for future trust and result-oriented work.

At the start of each employee's career, we provide personal guidance. Every employee is shown around the organization by their manager and colleagues. During the first weeks, our new employees are guided through the entire company. We do this by means of an onboarding week during which they are introduced to the various departments and corresponding processes at Van de Velde. We also strive for a good mix between group training and individual initiatives, as well as a mix of training aimed at the further acquisition of (technical) expertise and training that strengthens communication and management skills.
